@Cornerstore.ams turned out to be one of the biggest surprises we had this year till now!
Located in the north of the city we had this restaurant saved on our to-go list for almost a year now and yesterday we finally had the chance to visit.
We can tell you right now – it is a hidden gem!
Opened less than 2-years ago they know exactly what they’re doing here – food wise but also amazing service and vibes!
We took the set menu that was created by the chef who’s Dutch but lived in Asia for a few years so the food is Chinese, Japanese and Korean influenced when the vegetables are at the front and gets most attention.
Brioche with whipped goats butter and seaweed salt, veal tongue skewer, pickled lotus root, pear sorbet with miso caramel and buckwheat were just a few of the amazing bites we had – we won’t expose it all to not ruin the experience although anyways they regularly change the dishes on the menu.
This place is a new favourite of ours and we’re so excited for our next visit there! It’s probably going to be sooner than we think 🙂 A++
The only problem with this place is that the lighting there doesn’t do justice with the food and the beautiful way it’s plated.
